Few minnow players ever become legends that you think about late at night in bed.  Steve Tikolo has not done that.  He has achieved a very long career that people notice every three years or so.  A batsman of fair talent with a solid middle on him.  Tikolo captained the great Kenyan side of the 03 world cup, and probably several other rubbish Kenyan sides.  Has played in more meaningless ODI matches than any player from a non test playing nation.  Played his first game for Kenya in 1964.  Would have been a very handy county cricketer if ever given the chance. Tikolo obviously agrees, as his body size has mimicked that of many county pros for years.

Canada’s slogger. Hits every ball he faces to midwicket. This isn’t true, but I’ve mostly seen highlights, and in the highlights he hits every ball to midwicket. Is a ringer, from Pakistan, but John Davison was a ringer, and look how that worked. The way he hits the ball he must be very close to an IPL deal. Also, with him around it gives us all more chances to say Canuck.

It is a shame that Boyd Rankin wasn’t around in the 1930s, because he would have made one hell of a monster actor.  Boris Karloff might have had a fight on his hands if they wanted a prettier Frankenstein.  Instead he exists now, although some debate this fact.  He is the one Irish bowler who bowls actually fast, and is as quick as almost any minnow bowler not from Afghanistan.  Is potentially tall for nothing, but is injured so often it is hard to tell.  Bowled one over in ICL cricket, it went for 14.

Has become the Zimbabwe captain despite the fact he is a non bowling all rounder (by non bowling I don’t mean he doesn’t bowl, I mean he shouldn’t).  Hits the ball very hard, I assume because everyone is sledging him because of his name.  One of his great ambitions in life has always been to play county cricket.  Fair to say he lacks ambition.  Should be the poster boy for minnow powerhouse hitting, and maybe even an IPL back up in the near future.  Is Eninem’s favourite cricket.
