balls profile: Jimmy Anderson

Was forging a great career for himself as a male model when England gave him a chance.  He chose cricket, as nothing puts a strain on your back more than the strain of catwalk shows.  When he is swinging the ball there is a sense that he can get anyone out in the world.  When he is not he becomes philanthropic and gives runs away at record rates.  Holds some sort of bullshit batting record that means shit.  Has one of the most unintentionally comical fast bowling scowls in modern cricket.

Jrod, I wrote an article about Bradman when I was still in my teens, I want to publish it in a blog, I dont know how to create a blog and all, so shall I just paste that it in the comments section here? I dont want to do it without your permission, If you permit, am going to paste it in its original form without any editing, it may have gramr/other errors, but I want it to be exactly like it was originally written

In summary, Anderson is the “Zoolander” of international cricket — complete with the “blue steel” look and the “School for Kids Who Can’t Bat Good”.

I didn’t know there was a demand for the eyebrowly-challenged male model. Mind you, everything else in fashion seems to be singular (pant, shoe, trouser) so I suppose it makes sense. I venture there’d be jobs in Pakistani fashion mags as it appears the monobrow is a sign of male attractiveness there, if the cricket team is anything to go by.

    Oh, and Mr Kenath -

JRod is currently away from his desk (in Sri Lanka, if that other post is to be believed) so I’d go ahead and do it. It’s not as if anyone else gives a crap what he thinks before posting and I for one would enjoy a comment about Bradman. In fact, we should all post various random stuff here to freak him out when he comes back, it would serve him right for hacking into the Test Match Sofa twitter account.
