@Joel - The important part is "first 12 months"
Asif has had 5 years behind him. His Test tally is rubbish becaause of the dope issues and the fuckall Test itinery of Pakistan. In five years his bowling could have been sorted out especially considering his 130 km. speed. Not done yet. Not saying that he will never be found out. However consider his mode of attack- Probing line and length with subtle changes. His dismissal of Clarke in the first innings was a thing of beauty.

How can you judge anyone on less than 20 tests - and that includes Richards.

Does anyone remember what King Probot Hussey's average was in the first 12 months - 80-odd - surely that puts him above Richards. Oh wait... he's been fighting for his career the last 12 months...

FORM IS TEMPORARY.....CLASS IS PERMANENT

Wow! What a suprise the house of cards falls once more. Without the only genuine man in the batting team (Katich) the children (despite half of them being well over 30) are about as strong of mind as the Italian Army in North Africa.

It makes me sick to see twatto dominating and i cried for an hour when he got dropped on 99, but credit where its due he's going pretty well and yes he was the only one to get a geniune jaffer on the day. And I should know I'm from the LASC and thats what we do.

There are blokes playing Sub-Districts 4ths at Broadmeadows who are quicker then Asif so how does he get 6 for??? Time for the selectors to go back to the well. I'm over Hussey (he was batting ok but what was that pull shot?), North is struggling and rarely bowls (lets get hodgey back from retirement!!!), Haddin appears to have the intellect of grapefruit, and clarke needs to get dropped so he pulls his head in and banned from getting rubbish ink on his arms. Could we maybe naturalise BraVo???

And did I read Ponting is the most succesful captain ever? How Ironic..... or Moronic

Pakistan will lose by about 35 runs. Collapsing from 205-2 has lost this game for them. Thats mah call, and I'll stand by it. In any case, Sami is due to return to the form that makes him a bowler with a 50 average.

@Vim, yes, he definately said it. He was on the pitch under an umbrella with Mark Nicholas and (I think it was also) Shane Warne being interviewed, while it was raining before the toss.

Interview was shown on Sky Sports in the UK.

Why do you people not ready to admit aussie team is not good?. I do not think toss affected the game anyway.

it is just that aussie team can play well only if opposition play bad. if opposition play well , aussies get exposed for not getting theri bowling and batting correct. Too many holes in batting and bowling. It will take a while to get back to top.

Before aussie play well even opposition is pretty good. Now things changed.

It is not ponting's fault. Captain is as good as his team is except dravid or sehwag both sucked in captaincy. Dravid was timid in captaincy and sehwag do not like people management. it is a burden for sehwag.
