There is no surprise that on the day that my book comes out is the day Australia has picked a Victorian on debut and a leg spinner, even if he doesn’t play.
This is obviously Cricket Australia’s way of apologising for ripping off my idea.

He is a batsman who bowls; best way to ruin him is to pick him as a bowler.

Jason Krejza invented a super duper mystery ball, and none of us get to see him bowl it live.
Last week he said he bowled bad because the ball was sticky.
He is from NSWales.
Now he has to meet Ricky Ponting.

He bowls half-trackers ball after ball. Thank god he wasn’t picked.
He has real batting talent, but you can’t pick spinners because they pick up slogger’s wickets in 20/20.

I did make the call back in Nov (Jrod’s post on Haurtiz) that Steve Smith would be shoe-horned into the side at some point – but I thought it would be in the NZ tour. Can’t believe he would be selected on his current form, just ridiculous.
Is it still 5 first-class wickets of which 3 were long-hops?
Still, I guess they can’t destroy Krazys career by bowling him into the breeze at the WACA, then bring him back a year later to destroy his career again at the same ground. (Hint for Ricky: dart bowlers bowl into the wind at the WACA, loop bowlers bowl with it).
Meanwhile back at the WACA, a really entertaining couple of hours of cricket was overshadowed when Krabich and Hus got together. Almost like some sort of crowd control measure, it sent a rowdy noisy crowd ready to take it up a notch, suddenly into a soporific state for two hours.
