I saw the video. I think it hit the crack. he is not doing anything wrong with his bowling. But if he do it consistently , he will be dangerous. I like any one who spins deep like warne and murali.

Long overdue reopening of the debate:
Calling spinners for chucking is an idiotic notion. Let them bend their arm as much as they like - they're tossing the ball up - not down - it wont hurt anyone, it just tests their batting skills. Even an Afridi fast chuck is acceptable to relieve the tedium i say.

Quicks, yeah have the rule, in all its twisted detail, so that loser science-types can think they are doing something.

But since being slaves to technology is so essential for progress, allow the bowler to challenge the call. In fact every umpiring call should be up for review - a team should have a basket of reviews - for no-balls, wides, bouncers, etc etc. Will also give the ICC think-tank something to agonise over for the next few years.

@hewy - somebody should tell krejzy that moving away from nsw is not the way to get into the test side. look at watson...moves to nsw and now he is a bonafide test opener!

on a sidenote: between katich, jacques, hughes and now watto, how many openers does the nsw team need?!

...and if Phil Hughes is The Future, does that make Bryce McGain The Past?

Good on him, but the irony is of course that if Bryce bowls well, then Holland doesn't get a game.

@nathan - not really. i personally would make it legal. if batsmen can switch-hit why do bowlers get the shaft?

we have had this argument here before...if the doosra is such an obvious chuck, why do batsmen fall to it?
