One dayers are so boring not even Tim Nielsen cares about them

Let’s get rid of them.

No one is more boring than Tim Nielsen, trust me I just did “research” on him, there is nothing fun or controversial about him.

And he doesn’t like one dayers.

He looks like the sort of man that would take everything seriously.

Look at his forehead, even it is serious, so if he doesn’t support the format, then who does?

Case closed.

When the captain and coach of a country don’t turn up to a series that tells you more about it than any slick advertising campaign could ever do.

Ricky Ponting at home already, and Tim Nielsen on the next plane they can afford after giving Dirk and FPM a free holiday.

It gets worse.

Haddin, Kp and Freddie, 3 genuine one day draw cards are not there.

Joe Denly is now fucked.

And Dirk Nannes (the only Australian player that ever mattered) is home.

Kill it.

Kill it now.

The last one day series this long and boring was England V India.

Remember how that ended? Exactly, it provoked violence.

This one is in danger of doing the same.

Please end this madness before someone commits horrible acts of terrorism.

One day cricket is sort of like a of like a hot day, it brings out all the crazies.

After the 2011 World Cup ( as long as it is being staged in the sub continent). If not, when is the schedule for IPL3 being released?

    Cheers,

  2. [...] matches without KP or Freddie may not be enough to keep the interest of the casual viewer (or even the Australian coach), but there is still likely to be plenty of interest from fans keen to sample a little post-Ashes [...]

It’s a real shame about the 20/20s if only because we didn’t egt to see more of Nannes. It’s a shame he has gone.

I don’t mind an ODI, but nothing is better than a test. 20/20s have grown on me a little, but only because with an autistic child it is really the only cricket we can manage – and it’s better than nowt.

I gues this is why they put the T20s before the ODIs. If they had done it the other way, the Aussie team at Old Trafford would be comprised of ex-pat bar staff. And David Hussey

  5. Steve says:

Can someone tell me what Shane WAtson has done with Shaun Marsh? Only recently our big white hope in the opening stakes, he seems to have disappeared completely from the radar.

Surely it’s not still his hamstring? Twatto must have something to do with his disappearance.

and why is M. Hussey in the ODIS, and not D? Have these selectors learned nothing from the Ashes failure? Are they in the pay of England or just naturally shit-for-brains?

  6. theskiver says:

I think they are trying to give England a chance.

  7. BT says:

I started getting into cricket in 1999 during the World Cup when the Aussie team’s progress was being reported in the media. It was a great tournament and got good coverage.

I’d say that was when ODI hit it’s peak. It has been on the downward slope ever since. T20 is the final nail on One Day Cricket’s coffin.

I’d say all’s well that ends well- ODI’s are essentialy T20′s with 30 boring overs in the middle. What’s the point?

Plus, wickets are meaningless in ODI’s- Binga has a 22 average in that form of the game and 30+ in Tests- says all you need to know.

I once thought 1 dayers were like watching the Michael Jackson Pepsi filmclip, until 20/20 arrived- now ODI’s come across like Andrew Lloyd Webber to Test Crickets Pavarotti, and 20/20 looks like Brittney Spears, gobbing off a dead dachsund in an interspecies snuf film… my 2 cents

  9. Brett says:

I love the T20s! Every over and ball matter. The ODIs are neither fish nor fowl. I gotta get to St Lucia for the World T20 in April!

  10. Lou says:

The way the Aussies (and especially Clairke) play one dayers, I just can’t be bothered getting worked up about them.

Anybody who thinks D Hussey should be in the one day team, i suggest you check his record; He has been pretty much useless with the odd bright spot.

Talking about records, Michael Clarke’s career strike rate is on a real slide. It is dropping slowly but surely with each game that he farts about in the middle for a single every two balls.

When did we become such a bloody boring team?

  11. Decent finish today. With 3 deliveries left and 8 needed, just what was Sidebottom looking at???

ODIs aren’t terrible. But Pro40 seems like a better format.

  12. alex says:

NO dirk Nannes in ODI? what aussie selectors are thinking?. The only real fast bowler in the world. God said it. I would have watched ODI , just for nannes. He goes all out.

No fast bowler does that now…everyone looking at the knee and bowling to save their spot in the team.

It almost seems like lots of aussie selectors hate Nannes. Why ? i do not know.

  13. C says:

did any of you see tendulkar’s idea on odi’s?
if not, check it out – http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/8239560.stm
next you will have limited-over “tests” over two days

hey jrod – whats your take on this?

  14. BT says:

A few yrs ago when England toured Pakistan, I remember how blunt Ian Salsbury’s leg spin bowling was in the Tests. He’d pitch the ball on the slow deck, turn it a foot and a bit, but still looked like he had no shot at a wicket. I think he went wicketless in all the Tests he played that tour.

I can’t help but think if he had bowled the same in a ODI, his figures would be something like 3 for 50 off 10. Average bowling, three cheap tail end/slog wickets and he has a match avg of 16.

  15. alex says:

Why do tendulkar want to make ODI as a mini TEST?. Then make TEST as mini ODI?

Everyone pulling hair with sachin comment. They do not want to be impolite to maestro chokdulkar.

Some people good in scoring and improving statistics. I hope ponting beat all his record because for sachin only record matters not win.

I think sachin still a decent player with all scoring records…i do not think he is GOD. There is only one GOD of cricket. Sehwag.

Any player who play the way they like is god,,,ofcourse afridi is not GOD…God uses brain sometimes…afridi has no brain when he bats.

That said afridi can win ODI world cup for pakistan just with his bowling.

  16. polky says:

that’s a bit harsh on ol timmy. there’s no way he’s as boring as st kilda coach ross lyon…
