England: strapped a saddle on Australia and rode them over 400. Bowled too wide to Hughes.
Australia: seemed to lose the plot, and only bowled England out because the number 10 did not respect Hauritz. Hughes is great.
Broad: seemed scared of the pace.
Anderson: did well until he thought he was Brian Lara.
Swann: you have to like this man, great cameo.
Montybot: did enough to annoy Australia a little bit more.
Siddle: rubbish.
Johnson: ok.
Hilfenhaus: serviceable.
Hauritz: treated with no respect at all, but got two wickets.
Hughes: Ugly & jumpy, just the way he always is, timing the ball well and scoring at will.
Katich: clever man, let the young man counter punch while he worked on a novel at the non-strikers.
Anderson: tried every ball he had, a lot of them were rubbish.
Broad: got Hughes off to his flier, kept bowling short and wide.
Swann: Tasty without filling you up.
England might have done well with their tail, but with the ball they gave Australia a lot of hope.
Australia bowled like sea monkeys, but Hughes came out Punching and England had no idea.
Hughes has the most unelegant technique I have ever seen in a left hander. I thought Ganguly’s techique was a bit iffy, but Hughes can make a clown roll on the floor with laughter. But he scores runs. So did Ganguly. Another dada in the making here?
Mountain, I can’t imagine two people more different than Ganguly and Hughes.
I guess there are a lot of differences, but the similarity in fending awkwardly and generally looking a bit foolish did strike me Jrod.
