Australia is ruining the IPL says Unbiased South African player agent

“The fact that coaches like Greg Shipperd, Darren Lehmann and Darren Berry who are unknown outside of Australia have managed to secure rich IPL contracts proves that Australia as a cricketing nation is totally over rated.”

Arthur Turner

Greg Shipperd is unknown outside of Australia and yet New Zealand tried to poach him as head coach. Darren Lehmann has played 144 International matches, which is 144 more than Arthur, I, or Ray Jennings has played. And finally Darren Berry is not technically head coach of the Royals, Shane Warne is, I think people outside of Australia have heard of him.

Should player agents write articles?

    The Australians are obviously cheating.

  2. Q says:

U know what i think abt this Turner ass!

  3. Leg Break says:

Why should it concern this guy anyway?

It’s not as if he’s Indian.

  4. Sunny says:

its getting balanced by the bullshit being sprouted by bhooka naan at KKR and his best mate these days tom moody.

  5. Rayden says:

Well I am surprised this guy did not take Buchanan’s name. The other guys he mentioned are actually doing a good job. I don’t know about the over-rated part, but Australia is certainly dominating the coaching and support staff aspect of cricket right now. Team owners in India are ready to sacrifice their star / senior players if it means they could get an Australian coach with the entire Australian population as support staff.

  6. Q says:

Rayden, he did mention Buchanan in his piece.. only that his views were that since Buchanan has experience as an international coach and is known outside Australia then he deserves his fat pay check in the IPL.

    Imagine that!

  7. Stu says:

Of course they are dominating the IPL, coz they have dominated cricket for 20 years.

That’s how it goes. It’s not an obsession with Australian cricket, it’s an obsession with wanting to be the best.

SA have taken over #1 ODI and are (were) challenging for Test #1 – if they can avoid choking, they might be the ones doing all the coaching in 10 years time. (Big IF though).
