Oram is a girl. In my day we bowled 50 eight ball overs a day, and played back to back tests. On roads mind you.

No wonder NZ are so useless. Their players are just soft.

Except for TWGA (The Worlds greatest Allrounder) James Franklin. (He bats at six you know and takes the new pill...)

just a small fact...
Oram wasn't overlooked for the Indian Test Series, it was more he decided that he wanted time to prime his body for the IPL and feigned an archillies injury.

I can't blame the guy really. Bowling 40 overs in a test match is insane. Look at baseball pitchers, they throw like 100 pitches every five days, that's much less than bowlers in cricket, and bowling is way harder on the body. Humans weren't designed to take that kind of stress. Back in the day when they played half as much cricket, bowlers could recover, but not now.
Oram is smart, why pick up a bunch of injuries for NZ, which are never going to be #1 in Tests anyway, when you could cash in on the T20 leagues in a format where you are a much better player. Man's gotta eat.

The funny thing about this interview is that it’s basically had no coverage in NZ.

I guess people just thought they were suddenly listening to last year’s news.
