Fake IPL player disclaims

For the latest developments in the Fake IPL Player Saga click here.

The blog that ever IPL fan is reading has just put up an interesting disclaimer.

Someone who guys by the name fake, has said this is a fake blog.

Work that out.

This is it:

“DISCLAIMER
All characters appearing in this work (blog) are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and unintentional.”

Whether he plays in the IPL or not we know he has seen alot of American films and TV.

Meanwhile Q @ well pitched has alerted us to the KKR’s response.

“There is a blog spot which a team member showed me this morning which purports to be from a member of the KKR entourage. Poison pen writing of the dirtiest variety, but far too many factual errors. Who ever it is out there is obviously very sick, perverted and has far too little information or insight to successfully pretend to be a part of us.”

I am using the Martin Crowe rule on this, before I had no real reason to think it was a player, even if people I respect tried to tell me it was.

A blog that has just started is being denounced publicly and I am starting to think that maybe there is a touch of truth to it.

On twitter, facebook, and myspace there are people reptending to be pretty much everyone, and how often do you hear people come out and denoucne them.

It will be really interesting to see the KKR play today.

  2. Ankit Mishra says:

if the fake ipl player has never lied in his blog, then it is Sanjib Sanyal

  3. Q says:

Who is Sanjib Sanyal? and who are the KKR 18?

Even if its not a squad member, its probably someone closeby.. cud be Shane Warne trying to rip Buchanan apart.. or maybe even SRK having some fun!

    Thats a thought ;-)

  4. Q says:

Oh and his latest post talks about how the team management are on to him!

  5. Dhananjay Mhatre says:

His latest post talks about him not being a journo. He also writes about writing some false info about him initially. Maybe that was false or this is false. The dude is too good. I can imagine Buchanan and other memmbers of the brains trust wracking their brains and laptops over this.

P.S.: He takes another potshot on Buchanan. Maybe he is Warne.

  6. Sunny says:

well if prince brendan keeps today, we will know for sure that KKR are being influenced by the faker!

  7. The Heretic says:

That denial by the KKRs’s CEO contained this gem: “So what did we do after the game. Shahrukh came over – and the boys sat quietly around drinking coffee and chatting.”

Can’t you just imagine it — the mournful tinkle of coffee cups as Ganguly gently weeps into his cucumber sandwich while Prince Brendan thoughtfully picks his teeth with a stump…

  8. Dhananjay Mhatre says:

    @The Heretic:
Coffee and chatting – during IPL?? Everyone knows what happens post match during the IPL. There were too many fishy things happening last year for it not to be known outside. This sentence makes me seriously think that the faker may not be faking after all.

  9. Sunny says:

his description of yuvi was bang on!

  10. poopsie says:

A classic by Modi and his henchman. What a way to add turmoil, intrigue and most importantly interest to the off-shore tournament

  11. Aaami Ai deege says:

Murali kartik is good with language. At least the kind the fake ipl blogger is attempting. C’mon Muali, keep it up…

  12. osho says:

This guy knows most of the nuances of dressing room discussions and an overseas tour. He has tremendous sense of humour and a great command on language. This guy obviously hates Shahrukh and Buchanan. Is this our ol’ little master….Mr. Gavaskar himself with some support. Seems most likely to me.

  13. PN Murthy says:

Whoever it is, he’s a great entertainer, well informed and an excellent key-in comedian. That’ right he’s a “key-in comedian” a la “stand-up comedian”!
