The reason KP wanted Moores out, was because he was too technical, stats orientated, too focused on drills and didn’t have a natural flair for cricket tactics.
So the ECB fired him, and KP.
Now they’re going after John Buchnan.
Which is like saying, we really liked Moores, we just want a version with a winning record behind him.
The ECB have said we like nerdish coaches that laddish natural players won’t get along with.
It seems like a sideways step.
