Foxsports having taken a short break from blaming the IPL for all of Australia’s problems to make a monumental fuck up.
This seems like an amazing about of tests to play in he next 11 months.
Ofcourse according to any record i can find, Australia has 3 against South Africa, 5 against England, and 3 against Pakistan (if Pakistan decide Australia is safe to tour).
This is still quite a work load, but not 21.
I was wondering about that.
reading the obscure indian cricket sites like cricketnext, zee cricket , daily india this is what is being quoted:
Over the next 13 months, Australia is facing a strenuous schedule of 23 Tests and a combination of over 50 one-day internationals and Twenty20 fixtures.
the count is up to 23 tests
someone somewhere may have made a serious mistake in arithmetic and it is going round like chinese whispers (no I did not start it ;) )
23 now? Wow, maybe it is me, if anyone can find these 23 tests, please put me straight.
UJ,
Starting with the India tests in October 2008 thru until the New Zealand Tests in Feb 2010, Australia play 24 tests before a break.
Cheers,
Homer, You are getting closer, it works out to 24 tests in 17 months, but it isn’t 21 tests in the next 11 months.
I know it isnt 21 tests in 11 months. But you should also realize that when it comes to the Australian cricket media, never let facts spoil a good story.
Cheers,
Maybe we should be glad they didn’t blame the IPL for the 21 tests.
Dont bet on it :)
as i understand that aussie players are looking for a new profit sharing scheme with CA. can CA actually throw in a carrot of more money for no IPL (that would be the stick)?
