This is mega funny.
Ricky is angry with the very men that have made him possible.
He is an angry never likes to lose captain.
Where do you think he got that from?
Run a line from Steve Waugh to Allan Border to Ian Chappell and there you have it.
But Ricky doesn’t see why they bagged him.
He is deep in the Australian cricket team cocoon.
The one that thinks dropping Symonds was the right thing to do, and the one that thinks that had Krejza played one week earlier he would not have been ready.
The truth is Ricky, no matter how much you and Tim tell us you did the right thing, we aren’t buying it.
As an aussie rules football fan you should know why.
How many footballers have been rubbed out in the grand final to win it, and not given a flying fuck about the first game next season.
Apparently Symonds has admitted to his wrongs, and that is a good thing.
Then why can’t Ponting admit he made a mistake here.
And while we are at it, why can’t the whole selection committee admit they should have picked Krejza a week earlier.
There is no point being angry at Border or Chappell, they both would have set themselves on fire to win a game for Australia.
You didn’t, and that is why they bagged you, so stopping being such a stroppy little prick and admit you made a mistake.
It’s not that hard, we have all made them Ricky, I once wore happy pants.
Jeez the man is sitting on fire and nobody’s cutting him any slack! hahaha!
Jrod – You are 100% spot on. I still have no idea why Ponting did what he did after Tea on Day 4 at Nagpur. The closest I can come to a reason was that he was follwoing in the footsteps of Malik, Cronje, Azharuddin and many others and did not want to win the match. Other than that, he completely lost his mind and thought that being available for the NZ series was paramount. Or were the other players pressuring him so they did not lose money. Or, is he really a completely incompetent captain. Whatever it was, it was a disgrace, and has left a scar on his captaincy and the rest of the team. In my own mind, there is a cloud hanging over the team that will not go away until this matter is resolved appropriately. I hope the GABBA test match is a wash out. That is unfair to NZ, but it would be an appropriate act from the cricketing Gods.
To me, Ponting was never a really good captain. He was pretty average imo. He won as much as he did ‘cos he had a goddamn amazing team with a habbit of winning. And he had three alltime greats in Warne, McGrath and Gilly. But now with not so dominating a team, it starts to show that he’s not the best guy around…He can’t even come near Steve Waugh.
…not before he makes complete fool of himself…
“If you are actually questioning my integrity in the game, then you shouldn’t be standing here.”
“he can’t even come near Steve Waugh”i’m not even going near that one
jrod, you thought of having it off with Roebuck? You and he are becoming quite a matching pair.
Not being familiar with ‘happy pants’ I just looked up the phrase in urban dictionary. I will now look at you in a completely different light….
steve, He wanted him replaced when he felt he cheated, I want him replace because he refused to win.
So ponting is in a cocoon. Is this your way of saying there will come a time when he bursts into a beautiful butterfly and makes us all like him?
damith, I don’t think I’ll live to see that day. And I am in my late 20s.
