what’s in a name

It just struck me today, that the BCCi cop more flak than they should because of their name.

Board of Control for Cricket in India.

That is evil sounding, like Delta Goodrem.

Compare that to the friendly Cricket Australia.

Or the beige english Cricket Board.

I suggest they change their name.

Shareholders of the Indian Cricket Company

Ofcourse then Australia would have to change theirs.

Cricket Regulators of Australian Professionals

And then we might as well do England’s.

Federation of the United Kingdom of Cricket

Anyone willing to rename the ICC for me?

Incompetant Cabal of Cretins, although that might not get past the branding department.

The best/worst thing about the ECB is the fact that they defy the laws of acronyms – the England and Wales Cricket Board should surely have a W somewhere, no?

  3. Q says:

The PCB used to be BCCP – Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan. Rebranding happened in mid 90s. Not sure why. It didn’t make things better. definitely didn’t.As for the ICC.. bunch of clowns, puppets, jokers. International cricket circus maybe..

BCCI could become the Board of Indian Totality for Cricket HegemonyThe Players association could be renamed Cricket’s United National TeamsAnd the ICC could become the Federation of United Cricket Kingdoms for Exploitive Deeds Then when say, the old Players Association goes to the old ICC and complains about how the old BCCI wont recognise IPL players, the media can use their new acronyms for a fantastic headline response – BITCH tells CUNTs to get FUCKEDjuvenile in the extreme
