Big hard ones.
The sort of balls that click together and make a manly thud.
Clang, Clang, Clang.
These balls are apparently hanging from Arjuna Ranatunga’s bulky physical nature.
Everything in proportion I suppose.
Incase you have no idea what I am talking about, again, Sri Lanka has decided to let 5 cricketers play in the ICL and first class cricket.
They can “choose” to play in the ICL or the IPL, utter madness, they will all be poisoned with this ICL disease and will never be allowed to talk to Indians again.
Lalit Modi was heard to say,
“bloody muppets”
No one knows how Arjuna was wooed, but fair chances were it was an extremely long lunch, and yet, probably no alcohol.
Just hundreds of chickens and quail.
Since myself and Arjuna are the only two in the world that believe banning ICL players is a German thing to do, he may get condoned by the press, bloggers and random Modi fans alike.
But say what you will, it takes a fair man to stick his middle digit up at a millionaire kidnapper.
Would you?
I cannot believe me and Arjuna agree on anything.
If Arjuna had a blog, oh the angry comments he would get.
That would teach him for this anti establishment behaviour.
Glad to see two tubby men agree. :)
And who are those Modi fans? As far as I know, everybody’s happy that SLC stuck it right up the BCCI’s arse.
If you read the commentshere Indian, you will see when i called for teams to not ban i was hit with several fish.
JRod u know I have always been against the bans placed on these ICL Players.Ranatunga the man! Others need to follow him now.
Arjuna is as much a hero for his podgy middle finger – directed over the years so brilliantly at grim subjects ranging from Ross Emerson to Lalit Modi, as his world cup heriocs. If only the ICC had the same resistant body.
well I am not that happy…and i am thinking about the reasons why i am not happy
The wording of the statements seems strange though. Are they only being allowed to play domestic cricket??If that’s the case, it’s hardly the most emphatic of middle fingers.
If it was for international as well it wouldn’t have been a middle finger, but a full blown ass flash.
ICL players are in Eng and NZ domestic competitions (probably more). Not quite as monumental as Marvin’s arse-licking comments would have us believe.
English players, at least some, have decided not to play incase they are banned, and New Zealand doesnt get money off India like Sri Lanka does.
NZ gets 90% or so of its money from the ICC though, and we know where the ICC gets its money from…I know you’re the expert but isn’t the County Championship full of ICL players? Seems to be where most of the NZ players have ended up.
LB, I think you’ll find that most of the english players aren’t playing a second season, and more importantly, the only got to play becaue the took the ECB to court. And you and i know there is a big difference from making most of your money from the ICC, and getting the money directly from the BCCi.The BCCi can’t stop New Zealand getting money, they can stop giving money to Sri Lanka.
So the BCCI gives money directly to Sri Lanka?
Uhuh.
