I just finished watcing the extreemly delayed telecast of Shaun Marsh destroy Deccan.
The Kings Punjab, my mob, fianlly put Geoffreys boy out on the ground and he took complete control.
I have always said the kid can bat, read here, but I wasn’t sure he was ready.
He is ready.
How ready, ready ready.
Yeah.
I recently trotted over to Well Pitched to tell them the boy can bat.
And he can.
He bat’s really good.
Really.
His backfoot shots were amazing.
I saw him hold WA together against the Vics this year, but this was different, this was an innings of complete control.
There are other things that happened in the game, but none of them matter at 5:16 in the AM.
They can wait till this afternoon.
The boy sure can bat uncle J and i’ll be the first to say that you told us so! Actually the 2nd, you’ve already told us that you told us so…I was very impressed.. his leg side play off the back foot was amazing.. and he stood there till the end – a good head I say..Could very well be the 10 year player as u mentioned on my post.Looking forward to seeing him in the ODIs against the Windies. Hayden’s new partner?
Is there anybody else in Australia (at least on the eastern seaboard), other than Uncle J, actually still watching? are are we all just blogging blind about it?
Rusty, the day Symonds hit that 100 there were a reported 800,000 viewers from australia. That touched close to a million when Gilly knocked his 100.The interest is there even if its in the late hours of the night.
Q, firstly, you never ever believe Australian figures, because the are seriously flawed, but even if that is the case, most cricket fans i know have not watched a single game yet.
Why would they lie about it Uncle J? I’ll check if I can find a link. I heard it over the news on TV.
They don’t lie, but the system in Australia simply does not work, so they are all approximates, and they are quite often wrong.
But Uncle J, if the approximate is 800,000 and its usually inaccurate I would say plus or minus 100,000.. even thats quite a lot of viewers..
g, I said “still watching”, not “ever watched”. And are those watching cricket fans, or just bored shift workers and insomniacs?
