With all these players Ponting, Gillespie, Mcgrath and other non aussie players signing up for this ICL thing, kerry Packer must be erect in his grave.
Do we really need our great players, recently retired, recently out of form and the captain of Australia playing directly for dollars.

Okay maybe its ok for retired players, but surely the Australian cricket captain has better things to do with his time than play come backward ass 2020 game for a pocket full of cash.
Surely this is a waste of his time, how can he do ads for anti perspirant and hair replacepent fertilizer if he’s playing for a make believe trophy in India.
IPL not ICL…Uncle tell me, who wouldn’t mind a few extra dollars in their spare time and with not much to do to earn it?Ponting signing up may also be an indicator that he has begun to take this game seriously. Checking out the T20 before the next T20WC is not such a bad ploy. I think this is just some two month thing with play in the evening about two days a week or some such. Five star comforts to go along and at least 100,000,000 rupees over two-three years…not bad I’d say. Then there are all the ads they’d get to do here…Rick/y is very popular here you know.Forget the ODI series…crowds adore him here. The youth certainly do see him as a role model.

Soul,I’d rather him spend his spare time practising to play real cricket, raising greyhounds and reading books about abstract thought and surrealism.No one should take 2020 seriously.

Sumit, it is a little different, playing 2020 for cash compared to playing first class cricket for cash. At least its real cricket. But im not always happy with players playing county cricket either.
